Herbert Cecil Payne – Fewer's Funeral Home

Passed away at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital Clarenville on Sunday, March 21, 2021 Herbert Payne of George’s Brook Milton, aged 88 years. Predeceased by his wife Maxine; daughter Geraldine; infant son Steven; brothers Harvey, Joseph, Winston, Aubrey, Cyril, Cedric; parents Beatrice and Maxwell Payne; parents in law Sarah and Steven Chatman. Left with fond and loving memories his son Marvin; grandson Jordan; sisters Joan George (Late Howard), Alma Skiffington (Late Gordon); brother Donald; nieces, nephews, relative and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Visitations are by invite only. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Pentecostal Church, George’s Brook Milton with interment at the Milton George’s Brook Cemetery. Funeral service is by invite only. Covid Rules will be followed.

So sorry to hear of Herbie passing He was a kind person. He worked at Newfoundland Hardwoods with my Dad many years ago.He use to ride with my Dad to go to work. We send our deepest condolences to Marvin and all the family.

Herb was a 1 cousin to my father, and a friend to many , i spent time round the entire family , growing up in George’s Brook , Marvin and i were family but first we were friends , and herb and maxine always welcomed me into there home and presence.. to Marvin and family and friends , hold on to your memories , and take comfort in the fact that all concerns, health issues , and lifes misfortune , have come to a close , Herb my friend you have gracefully finished Lifes Race , Rest easy , to Marvin , remaining family and friends my thoughts are with you all at this difficult time
