It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Harley Ash of Portland on Tuesday September 15, 2026, age 70 at the Dr G B Cross Hospital, Clarenville.
Predeceased by his wife Loretta, parents Arthur & Edna Ash Lethbridge, mother & father-in-law, Byrle & Kelso Cuff; sister Maisie Skiffington, brother Martin Ash and brother-in-law Cluney Prince.
Leaving to mourn their loss is his daughter Trina Simmonds (Trevor), grandchildren Jordan & Keira Simmonds; sisters Eileen Bowen (Rex), Marguerite Prince and Judy Ash (Michel Sarrazin); brothers Gilbert Ash (Madonna), Rick Ash (Daphne),Tilson Ash (Jackie), Perry Ash, Hayward Ash (Jeanette); sister-in-law Lorraine Prince (Hughie) and many nieces & nephews; also special friend Aiden Fennell who was always there to help Harley when the need arose.
Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 17 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2026 at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Interment will follow the service at the United Cemetery in Portland.
Special thanks to his doctor, Dr Smith, the staff at the dialysis unit in Clarenville & to all staff who helped him in any way at G B Cross Hospital.
