Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on May 9, 2022 Gordon Samuel Pike of Portland, age 86 years. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Olive Pike; parents in law Dorman and Violet Butt; sister Nellie; brother Clyde. Left to mourn his wife Verda of 62 years, children, Darrell (Sharon), Greg (Wanda), Michelle (Jim), Pam (Darrell), Angie (Kevin); grandchildren Greg, Megan, Taylor, Lee, Jesse, Matthew; step grandchildren, Ashley and Kayla; 6 great grandchildren as well as 3 step great grandchildren; and a large circle of family and friends. As per his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their care. A special thank you to his home care worker Jeannette Curtis who went above and beyond.
