Gordon Frederick Hiscock passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family on October 16, 2021 at Pleasant View Towers in St. John’s. Gordon was born in Deep Bight and had also lived in St. Lawrence, Fogo, Clarenville, Gander, and St. John’s throughout his life. Gordon worked with CNT (Terra Nova Tel) where he had many friends. Predeceased by his wife of 65 years Marjorie (Critch) Hiscock, his parents Cyril and Awilda (Short) Hiscock, siblings Alfred Hiscock, Annie Wells, Mary Green, Dorothy Hiscock, Cyril Hiscock, Harvey Hiscock, Joyce Hiscock. Leaving to celebrate his life, his children: Derek (Arlene), Craig (Gwen), Heather (Chris Whelan), grandchildren: Erin (Rob), Kiersten (John), Grant, Scott (Rachel), Garrett (Tanisha), Emma (Tim), Amanda, Melanie, Great-grandchildren: Maya, Caitlin, Joshua, Jack, Zoe, sister Ruby Adey, many nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Meadow Creek and Pleasant View Towers for their love and care throughout the past few years. Visitation at Fewer’s Funeral Home Monday October 18, 7pm to 9pm, Tuesday October 19, 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral Service will take place at Memorial United Church, Clarenville, Wednesday October 20, at 2pm. If you wish to attend the Service please call or text Heather at 770-0208 or Derek at 697-0423. In his memory, donations can be made to Memorial United Church, Clarenville.

I have memories of him during visits to Clarenville and Deep Bight as a child and in later years meeting them at campsites or having a game of crib when he would camp over on the west coast.
