Passed peacefully away on Friday, January 7, 2022, Giles Edward Miller of Shoal Harbour, formerly of Kerleys Harbour and New Bonaventure. Predeceased by his wife Lillian. Leaving to mourn are his, sons Brian (Marilyn), Bruce (Bernice); daughter Joy, grandchildren Jonathan, Hayley, Treena, Bradley and Adam as well as his great-grandsons Sam and Ben; and his sister Phyllis Vokey. He also, leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A fisherman, carpenter, sailor, and animal lover. Giles lived life his way and to the fullest. He took his final steps in the presence of his family with loving thoughts and comforting sounds of his favourite music.
Thank you to the staff at G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their excellent care during his final days with us. A special thank you to Joanne McLeod for her dedicated care during his final years.
Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Visitation to take place Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 2-4 P.M., Monday, January 10, 2022 from 2-4 P.M. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Bonaventure and Cemetery with viewing from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M. In keeping with COVID restrictions vaxx pass and masks will be required for both visitiations and for the funeral service.
