OLDFORD, Gilda – Passed peacefully away at her home on Thursday, August 12, 2021, Gilda Oldford of Bunyan’s Cove, age 80 years. Predeceased by husband Anson Oldford; parents Leslie and Winnifred Greening; brothers Norris, Walwyn and Johnny Greening; sisters Maisie, Greta, Joan and Vera Greening; in-laws George and Elsie Oldford, Rowena White and Frances Martin; special nieces Jean Reid, Doris Oldford and Ruby Martin; nephews Steve Martin and Dave Greening; son-in-law Harvey Chatman. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Marilyn (Rudy), Madonna (Randy) and Romona (Vernon); grandchildren Jennifer (Jimmy), Charlene (Lee), Travis (Amanda) and Rebecca (Brent); great grandchildren Nora, Makenna, Bridget, James, Mattie and Finley; brother Barrett (Barbara); sisters Ina (Bernard), Belinda (Walter) and Geraldine (Mack); and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at St. Paul’s United Church, Bunyan’s Cove. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at St. Paul’s United Church with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Bunyan’s Cove. In her memory donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Church, Bunyan’s Cove.
