It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved George Francis Best who passed peacefully away at his home in Southern Harbour, NL on Saturday, June 8, 2020 at the age of 83 years. He was predeceased by his parents Maurice and Mary Best and his brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife Blanche of 51 years; his children Valerie (Bill), Corey (Lana), Maurice and Mario; his beloved grandchildren Cordell (Brandi), Robyn (Cameron), Tapanga (Chandler), Ethan, and Noah; his beloved fur companion Shilo; his sisters Josie (Late Ned Saunders), Joyce Collins (Joe) and Esther Collins (Ig); his homecare worker Florence Best; all of the Ryan family and numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.

With tears in my eyes I can’t say how sad I am that George has passed away. I just think of all the good and happy times together . Our great boat trip to St. Joseph s and the night at isle a valen when the ferries were on the boat and we laughed so much. I know George and Wilf are remembering it now too. Rest in Peace my dearest friend who always gave me that big hug when we said good bye. I am sending my big hug to you. May you walk with the Angels and see the Face of God
