GREENING, Frederick – Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, Frederick Greening of Musgravetown, age 84 years. Predeceased by his parents Baxter and Emmeline Greening; sister Rhoda and brother-in law Roy Greening; brother Jack and sisters-in-law Lydia and Marlene Fitzgerald; brother-in-law Berkley Abbott. Left with fond and loving memories his loving wife Verda of 56 years; children Neil, Gerry (Lee Ann) and Jan (Lyndon Williams); grandchildren Ashley, Lesley, Morgan, Madison, Mackenzie, John and Evan; sister Wanda; brothers Robert (Dorothy), Auburn (Ena), Herbert (Mary) and Roger (Marjorie); and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge on Friday, November 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Heritage United Church, Musgravetown with interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Musgravetown. Visitations will be required VaxPass and due to Covid restrictions the funeral service will be by invitation only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage United Church, Musgravetown.
Fred was a kind hearted and devoted husband, father and grandfather and was loved and admired by all who met him. He was both a dedicated and valued member of the Volunteer Fire Department in Musgravetown and also a founding member of the Deep Cove Marina.
A very special thank you to the staff at Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista for the amazing care that Fred received and the comfort that you gave our family.
