Franklin John Parrott March 30, 1946 - April 18, 2020

Passed away peacefully April 18th at the Captain William Jackman Memorial Hospital  with his wife Gloria and son Stephen at his side. Predeceased by his Father Stephen and Mother Blanche. Frank will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Gloria, son Shane, wife Kimberley, grandson Mitchell, son Stephen, wife Regina, grandsons Tristan and Kyle, son Lloyd, wife Nicole, and grandson Gavin and granddaughter Olivia. Also left to mourn are Frank’s brothers Kevin (Beulah), Randy (Pam) and sisters, Shirley (Winston), Ivy (Bruce), Darlene (Brahime) and brother in law John Gosney (Carol). Frank also leaves behind many dear nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Frank had an insatiable zest for life, always had a grin on his face, he had an answer for every question, and a solution for every problem. Raising his family in Labrador West, Frank loved the outdoors, especially spending time with family and friends at the cabin on Shabogamo Lake. A builder in the town of Wabush, a long-time member of the Wabush Fire Department, Frank was an avid Union man and volunteer. His love for Gloria and pride in his sons was apparent in every conversation he had! His passion for Family and Community is alive and well and will live on in his sons. The family would like to say special thanks to the Staff at the Captain William Jackman Memorial Hospital. We would also like to acknowledge dear friends Walter Joy and Kelly Pike for your weekly/daily visits over the years. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can made to Labrador Grenfell Health Foundation at the following link https://www.lghealth.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/In-Memoriam.pdf or a charity of your choice.

First met you during our high school days in Musgravetown, knew you for over 57 years. You never changed. My funniest memory of you was when you played Ringo Starr in an high school concert and the time you returned your Prefect pin to the principal, because you wanted to be ” one of the boys” and you always were one of the boys. REST IN PEACE Frank. Condolences to Gloria, Steve, Shane, lloyd and the Parrott family.

So saddened to learn of Frank’s passing, we both got acquainted with Frank when, as a teenager, he came to Musgravetown to attend high school.
Frank immediately became one of our circle of friends. All of us usually hung out together at my (Sylvia) grandfather Penney’s snackbar after school hours and on weekends where we enjoyed good times together. We remember Frank as a happy, fun-loving guy always entertaining us with his wit & humour, his impish grin was his trademark.
We had the good fortune to meet you, Gloria, a few years ago at the HSC eye clinic while you & I (Heber), waited to get our patches removed. We were delighted, while chatting, to know you were Frank’s wife … small world.
May you, his family, find comfort, strength & peace while sharing stories of your many cherished memories of happy family times together.
You’re in our thoughts & prayers.
      Our sincere condolences.
