Frank Rex Lockyer August 8, 1944 - July 22, 2024

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, July 22, 2024, Frank “Rex” Lockyer of North Harbour, formerly of Little Harbour, age 79 years.  Predeceased by his 1st wife Yvonne (Foote) and 2nd wife Dora (Savoury-Fiander)parents Frank and Phoebe Lockyer; brothers Freeman, Lester (Annie) and George (Rita); sisters Rita (Bill), brothers-in-law Joseph Drover and Samuel Adams.  Left with wonderful memories to cherish forever are his step-son John Fiander (Vida); step-daughter Bessie Mitchell (Elroy); grandchildren Dora-Leigh Eddy (Jimmy), Adam Fiander (Samantha), Kelsey Winterhalt (Ben); special granddaughter Reanna Mitchell; great grandchildren Violet Eddy, Jacob Eddy, Olivia Fiander, Rush Winterhalt and Darcy Fiander.  Left to remember him with love his brother Alfred Lockyer (Shirley); sisters Mondella Adams and Madonna Drover; sister-in-law Jane, plus a very large circle of nephews, nieces and friends far and wide.

Rex was a man of quiet demeanor.  He loved the simple things in life that most of us overlook such as trouting, rabbit hunting, berry picking and cutting wood for his shed.  He loved to listen to music and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville.  Visitation Tuesday, July 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville with interment to follow at St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery, Sunnyside.  In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted by the family.
