Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville, on September 17, 2022 Florence Emily Dodge of Clarenville age 74 years. Predeceased by her parents John and Mary Jane Dodge; her brother Everett (Selina) Drodge; sister Marcie (Eli) Spurrell; brother in law Fred Whalen.
Florence leaves to mourn her loving son Craig and his partner Louise, sister Alma, her children, Judy (Nelson), John (Amy) and her loving grandchildren Leah and Kyle.
Florence had a second family that she loved very much. Her long time companion and friend Clyde Russell, his children Jill (Paul), Erin (Justin), and his two loving grandchildren Russell and Lucas. Her special neice Maxine Boutcher and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Clarenville on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 2 P.M. with interment to follow at the Pleasant Street Cemetery, Clarenville. Thank you to the doctors and nurses of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center and Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Blaine Pearce for his care over the years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Florence’s memory to the Daffodil Place or the Clarenville Area SPCA.
She was a very active person who loved to ski, skate, curl, bike, hike anything that involved the outdoors.
