Evelyn Balsom February 2, 1929 - June 24, 2023

Passed away suddenly at the G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Saturday, June 24, 2023  Evelyn Balsom of Clarenville, aged 94 years.  Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Lillian Baggs; her husband, Melvin; daughter, Beverly; brothers, Chesley (Phyllis), William (Martha); sisters, Elsie (Don), Dot (Wilfred), Annie (Chester), Nora (Larry), Effie (William). Left with fond and loving memories her children, Glenn (Donna) and Pauline; grandchildren, Mandy (Steve), Michael (Janet), Kristen (Chris); great grandchildren, Christopher, Micah, Gabe, Tyler, Graham, Angus, Mackinlay; special sister in law Hazel Bursey of Gambo and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home  Clarenville on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. from Fewer’s Memorial Chapel Clarenville interment to follow at the Pleasant Street Cemetery, Clarenville. In her memory donations may be made to the Crossroads Community Church or a charity of one’s choice.  A special thank you to Marlene and Heather for being there in her time of need.  Your kindness mean so much.

Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. from Fewer’s Memorial Chapel Clarenville.

      We were sorry to hear of Evelyn’s passing.
      I had the privilege of working with her in the 70’s. She was always smiling and she was a very caring person.
