Auntie Eva, the sweetest person. Her smile and squeals were infectious. So kind, generous and genuine. I have so many great memories of her. I’m so blessed to call her my Aunt. My Dad Ernie, his first visit in Monkstown was always to see her. They both lit up every time they saw each other. The kettle was always put on, the bread and jam on the table and pea soup on Saturdays. My heart is especially with Otto, Jeanette and Lisa. Love you all and you’re all in my prayers

My Aunt Eva was so sweet and kind to me. My very first visit was when my brother Shawn was born and I was 3 years old and my mother Bella knew she could count on her older sister to look after me. Summer vacations in Monkstown were super special as I got to be spoiled by aunt Eva. Then later the road went out to Monkstown and I would go up on weekends and go to church with her and uncle Harold and she was so proud of that. I visited her at the Bungalow in Clarenville one day a few years back and she delighted to tell me “I’m still Salvation Army you know “ and we were able to have a prayer together. She was a wonderful person and may her soul rest in the arms of her saviour.
