So sorry to read this Death announcement of Mrs. .Biles. Such a sweet lady. When we had our Church in Milton & George’s Brook I was involved with the Church as well. Rev. and Mrs Biles held many Worship services in that Church. We always had a chat whenever we met at the supermarket or somewhere. I have missed seeing them for sometime. We send our deepest Sympathy to Rev. Biles and all his family. God Bless you all.

Rev. Walter and All Your Dear Family:

The sad news of Ethel’s seemingly quick passing has understandably shocked your family and her many friends, myself included. In 1968, when I was first introduced to the Biles family at St. Anthony as a recent Ordinand of the United Church of Canada, Ethel welcomed me with open arms. It is not a huge stretch to say your family “adopted” me. Over the years since then, we worked, ministered, prayed, celebrated communion, sang God’s praises – yes, rejoiced and even shed tears – together.

From the beginning to the present, Ethel was unchanged: remaining a constant friend to me and to many others ( people-in-need included) who came under her purview and her Christian world-view.

For this and so much more, I honour Ethel and pray sincerely you and your family will continue to know the sure presence and unfailing peace of our Saviour today and in the days God will grant you.

    My deepest sympathy,
    George Demmons (Rev.)

    To the Biles Family:
Heather and I were shocked and saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. She was a wonderful Christian lady whom we greatly appreciated. I, like many other young people who went to St. Anthony, was a recipient of her hospitality and generosity . I met your Mom and Dad in 1972 when I went to St. Anthony as a first-year teacher. They welcomed me into their home and into their hearts. Through bakeapple jam, homemade bread, and heartfelt chats they encouraged me , challenged me and help me grow as a person and as a young Christian. They left an indelible imprint on my life and for that I am grateful.
Our sincere sympathy to all of you. You are and will be in our thoughts and prayers.
    Love and prayers,
    Wayne and Heather
