Elizabeth “Maude” Sutton September 17, 1936 - March 23, 2024

Passed peacefully away at her home surrounded by her family in New Burnt Cove on Mar. 23, 2024 at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Wilfred in February 2016, as well as her parents Stephen and Mary Ellen; Her brothers: Clyde and Fred. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children; Daughters: Linda (Gerry), Doris and Sylvia. Sons: Sterling (Linda) and Brian (Roslyn). Grandchildren; Derrick, Ashley, Nathan, Mary Elizabeth and Nikita. Her great grandchildren who brought many a smile to moms face: Eva, Alika, Cordelia, Kylee, Marisa, Rhiley, Dominic. Her  sisters: Eleanor (Ted, RIP) and Mabel (Jim) her sisters-in-law: Emilly and Florence along with a large circle of family and friends. We want to thank Moms’ homecare workers. Thank you to each of you who helped take such great care of mom. We appreciate everything you did for her. Resting at St, Mary’s the Anglican Church in Burgoyne’s Cove. Visitation will take place on Monday and Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27th, with internment at the Anglican Cemetery, Burgoyne’s Cove. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made to the Doctors without Borders organization (operation smile).

Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27th, with internment at the Anglican Cemetery, Burgoyne’s Cove.

    It was a pleasure to have known Ms Sutton, even though only for a short time. I enjoyed listening to her stories about her life, and the way things were years ago. She was truly a special lady. Condolences to the family.
