Ned was born on January 8, 1933 to Hubert & Ethel Green of Goobies, NL. He spent his entire life living in Goobies and didn’t want it any other way. On December 16, 1953 he married Ruby Snow of Woody Island. Ned was a faithful member of Goobies Pentecostal Church and spent may years as a board member and also filling in when pastors needed time off. He was a great role model and even better preacher. Ned co-owed Green’s Service Station in Goobies and was a well known business man for most of his adult life until he decided to retire at 55. Ned’s greatest passion was his plane, he thoroughly enjoyed flying, fishing, hunting at ski dooing. He loved his family and loved to have everyone get together.
In the early afternoon of Saturday, May 24, 2025 God called him home, he will be sadly missed by his wife, family and friends.
“He only takes the best”
God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you, and whispered, “come to me”. With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay, A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

I have great memories of my time dealing with Ned at the garage , he was an absolute gentleman, I had great respect for him as did anyone who dealt with him.
I also have some wonderful memories of flights in the float plane. I took advantage of his offers to go flying whenever I could.
Sending you all my deepest heartfelt condolences.
