Sincere condolences to Sylvia and family. We were surprised and saddened today to hear of Ed’s passing. I knew from a recent phone conversation with him that he wasn’t well. We found Ed to be a lovely and friendly man and always enjoyed a chat with him. Certainly will miss seeing him in church and around town.

To the Penneys, we are thinking of you during this time. I am sadden yet I know Ed lived his life to the fullest and always with a smile and happy to share great lessons and stories. I have fond memories of meeting Ed and his family in Toronto. I enjoyed visiting him and Sylvia when they retired back home in Newfoundland. We had a toast with Screech rum and I received my NFLD Screechers Certificate, and we walked the beach to play with Capelins. I remember Ed jogging and enjoying mowing his acres of land on the hill. With fond memories, Rick and I will enjoy some Screech in your honour. Right now! Cheers, love, and peace be with you.

We just finished watching Ed’s funeral. Thank goodness for modern technology as we were able to be a part of it even though we could not be there in person. I cried and laughed throughout the service, especially after the moose story. Thank you Brian for sharing that with us. I truly miss all of you and I hope we can come together again under happier circumstances. Ed was a wonderful person and we were all blessed to have him in our lives.
