Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 Douglas Cole of Champney’s East, NL, aged 89 years. Predeceased by his wife Gloria Jane Cole (nee Ballett); parents Walter and Ethel Cole (nee Randell); brothers Jonathan (Don) Cole (Betty, nee Russell) of Champneys East, Henry Thomas (Ray) Cole, N.S; brother in law Sterling Ballett; step brother Robert Cole. Left with fond and loving memories his son Sterling (Teresa) of Edmonton, AB; 5 grandchildren Olivia and Hannah of Gander, Nicole, Ari, Kaitlyn of Edmonton, AB; 1 great grandson Grayson of Edmonton, AB; brother in law Gerald (Dawn) Ballett, Bill (Phyllis) Hayward, Bob (Pearl) Johnson; sisters in law Marie, nee Spencer of Kentville, Shirley Ballett ; step sisters Cathy and Susan Cole and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at St. Clement’s Anglican Church, Champney’s West on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 3 PM to 5 PM with service starting at 5 PM. Cremation will take place after visitations. An interment will take place at Anglican Cemetery, Champneys East after cremation. Time and date to be confirmed. Donations in his memory may be made to the family or Cancer Foundation of NL.
