Passed peacefully away at the O’Mahoney Memorial Manor in Clarenville on April 9, 2026 Dorothy Jean Butt of Clarenville aged 79 years. Predeceased by her husband, Eric Butt; parents, George and Nellie Seward; brothers, Alonzo and William Seward; brothers-in-law, Otto Avery, and Ed Parrott. Left with fond and loving memories her children, Darrin (Stephanie), David (Susan), Lori; grandchildren, Riley, Devon, Dillon (Brittany), Steven (Rebecca), Haylee; great granddaughter, Madelyn; sisters, Alena and Rowena; brothers, Austin (Clarabelle), Alvin (Valerie), Hubert (Bernice), Merlin (Mario), Terry, Darren (Bonnie), Rod (Nikki); and a large circle of family and friends. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of both the Agnes Pratt Home and O’Mahony Care Center for their care and compassions during mom’s stay. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville on Monday, April 13, 2026 from 7-9 P.M. Memorial service to take place from Fewer’s Memorial Chapel in Clarenville on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 @ 2:00 P.M. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The United Church Cemetery Fund Shoal Harbour. Following the service a lunch will be held at Darrin’s home all are welcome.
