Passed suddenly away at his home in Bunyan’s Cove on January 24, 2023 Derrick Penney of Bunyan’s Cove aged 43 years. Predeceased by his grandparents, Norman Tucker, Leslie and Gladys Penney; Aunt Betty Perry, Uncle Alex Penney, Uncle Roland & Aunt Mamie Powell, Aunt Marie Matchem, Uncle Ned Matchem, and Uncle Samuel Penney, Aunt Ann Penney and Aunt Ruth Clouter. Left with fond and loving memories his mother, Norma (Randy) Quinton, father, Harley Penney; brothers, Troy and Matthew (Ashley); step sisters, Melinda (Keith), Melissa (Bruce), Amanda (Shannon); Grandmother Gertie Tucker; Aunts Lillian (Keith), Hilda (Junior), Bernice (Larry), Donna (Todd), Irene (Eric), Shirley (Glen), Ann (Greg), Sheila Penney; Uncles Wallace (Jane), Barry (Lorraine), Clayton (Lois) and Uncle Bond Clouter; and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at the Anglican Church in Bunyan’s Cove on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 , family service from 11:00 A.M. to noon, visitation from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place from the Anglican Church in Bunyan’s Cove on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery in Bunyan’s Cove.
