Dennis Shawn Drover February 25, 1965 - May 18, 2022

His daughter Lindsey Drover (Devon) Thompson and grandson Hayden.  Also Brothers Carson Drover (Matilda), Russell (Grace) Drover, Calvin (Vicki) Drover, and Roger Drover (Cheryl). Sisters Sylvia (Leonard) Mackey, Delores Drover (Stuart), Roxanne Drover (Mario) and Lisa (Neville) Legge. As well as Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, John and Fran Crichton, Sister-in-law Jenni Crichton (Russ) and Brother-in-law Johnny (Nicole) Crichton.  Finally, a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Visitation on Monday, May 30, 2022 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at the Anglican Church, Hodge’s Cove on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow.  In Dennis’s memory and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anglican Church or the Recreation Committee in Hodge’s Cove.

Dennis was indeed a huge Montreal Canadiens Fan and was known as a true sports fan and coach but he was so much more. He was a man who was in love with his wife since the ninth grade, the man who was beyond proud of his children, the man who was a best friend and mentor to his grandsons. They were the sparkle in his eyes, and he beamed when he saw them.  He adored to be called Pop, Hockey Pop, and even the Candy Man. He was the man who was the glue that held his brothers, sisters, and all the family together. He was a young, retired man who had all the plans in the world and losing him was nothing short of tragic.  His wave reached out so far. Beyond everything he’s done for his community of Labrador West, and even all of Labrador, he reached one side of this country to the other. He will be laid to rest next week in his most favourite place in the world, and home of his own blood, Hodges Cove…. Dennis Drover – Never Forgotten.
