Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, Marko Turchuk of Clarenville, age 79 years. Predeceased by his parents Marko and Ephemia; sisters Elizabeth, Vera and Nadia; brothers William and Nicholas; parents-in law Levi and Mary Frost; brother-in-law Raymond Frost. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Marie of 58 years; children Kimberly (Don) and Natalie (Eric); grandson Marko (Gabby); sisters-in-law Gladys Stoyles (Ross), Jeanette Martin (Ron) and Marie Frost; brother-in-law Rudy Frost (Rosalind); his nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends. Cremation will take place as per his wishes. A visitation will take place on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville from 2 – 4 p.m. Memorial service will take place at a later date. In his memory donations may be made to Hillview United Church. The family would like to express a special thank you to his many homecare workers who took exceptional care of him this past year.
Dad served with the Canadian Air Force for 35 years and participated in several peace keeping missions including Haiti and Rwanda. He was a loving and doting husband, father and grandfather. He adored his Family. He was our protector, teacher, mentor and hero. He will be in our hearts forever.

The members of the Canadian Forces Supplementary Radio (SUPRAD) System Oldtimers Association were saddened by the news of Mark’s 16 November 2021 passing. Sorry that we did not receive his obituary sooner than now. Mark was a dedicated and loyal member of the military, and he proudly served his country for 35 years.. During his distinguished career in the Air Force, he became a good friend to many. All those who had the privilege of serving with Mark, will forever remember all of the enjoyable times that were shared.
