Cory Smith November 6, 1978 - June 28, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Cory Smith announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the age of 44.

Cory leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his partner Amanda Marshall and three young daughters Hailey, Hannah and Harley. As well as his beloved mother Effie (Kevin), father Roland (Connie), sister Vanessa (Don), half sister Ashley, grandmother Laura, Roxanne, Kev Jr. and many nieces, a nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and a large circle of friends.

Predeceased by his loving dad Gentry, grandparents Arthur & Mary Smith, Eric & Ann Shave, Nathan Smith, a number of special cousins, aunts and uncles.

Cory was a dedicated and supportive father to his three girls, partner Amanda and mother Effie. Always there to help out at any moment and this dedication was consistent through his involvement in the community. He was a member of the fire department and lions club for over 20 years and did so with eagerness and a smile. Cory will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Church in Come By Chance on Wednesday, July 5 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.  Funeral service 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at St. Paul’s Church, Come By Chance with interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Come By Chance.

Family would like to give special thanks to the Come By Chance fire department for the help and support they have provided through this difficult time.

    I honestly cannot tell you how upset that I was to hear this tragic news. Corey was such a lovely, caring person…a great father, son, brother and community person. May you all be comforted by knowing that he loved you all and may you cherish the memories.
