Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Boyd is predeceased by his parents Walter and Evelyn Jones, his brother Wayne (Joyce), niece Tina Jones and father and mother in-law, Benjamen and Alma Ploughman.
Leaving to mourn his devoted and loving wife Marilyn; sons Scott (Sharlene) and Glenn (Connie); seven grandchildren Victoria, Jason (Jill), Andrew, Felicia (Lucas), Cole, Breah and Shannon; three great grandchildren Madison, Matthew and Alexander. Also left to mourn his sister Marilyn Dawson (Edmund), four nephews and their families, other extended family members and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 2 pm – 4pm and 7 pm – 9 pm at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville. Church service will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the Shoal Harbour United Church, with a gathering of family and friends in the church basement following the service.
Flowers gratefully accepted, or a donation may be made to the Lung Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
