Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness at Pleasant View Towers, St. John’s on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, Joan Greening of Port Blandford, age 79 years. Predeceased by her husband Hubert; daughter Gena and her parents Wilson and Dulcie Holloway. Left with fond and loving memories her children Gary, Glenda, Grant (Verna) and Gordie (Mimi); grandchildren Cassandra, Vanessa, Jenny, Jerrett, Angela and Adrian; great grandchildren Henry, Alyssa, Jack and Charlotte; great great grandchild Kahanni; sisters Marion McLaughlin (Raymond) and Doris Holloway; a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Resting at Alton United Church, Port Blandford. Visitation on Sunday, July 14 from 2 – 9 p.m. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024 at Alton United Church, Port Blandford with interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Port Blandford.

She showed tremendous strength and generosity in caring for Hube and later in her own illness.
