October 30, 2021 at 10:54 amMy deepest sympathies to Donna and family and his brother and best friend Terry and family.. It was a pleasure to have worked with him. His work ethic was amazing. I still smile when I think of some of our times on the road. Aus loved life and had a heart of gold. He was one of a.kind..I will be having a swally this afternoon in his memory and toasting a great man. My wife Joanne still remembers his light feet on the dance floor at the Youngs Christmas parties. “The only one there that could do the two step!I am a better person today because of things I’ve learned from Aus. Look out heaven! You are in for a treat. God bless his family.. Rest In Peace old buddy!

To Madonna and all of Aus’s family, I’m so sorry to here of his passing. I didn’t know Aus really well. My connection with him was through my brother, John Murphy, although I was lucky enough to visit his sheds and share a few swalleys and some stories with him on visits home.
A few years ago, I, my wife, and some of her family from the mainland showed up to John’s with some live lobster and no clue how to cook them. A call to Aus and no problem; down he comes with a big pot and a bottle of rum and in no time the mainlanders were enjoying their first feast of fresh lobster and more than a few laughs. Aus was such a solid family man and neighbor. I know John and you all will miss him greatly.
