Winnie (Barrett) Crocker July 23, 1921 - July 8, 2024

A long life, well lived.  Winnie was born in Woody Island to Robert and Beatrice Barrett (Eddy).  She married George Crocker of Swift Current in 1940 and lived there the next 80 years.  Together they raised a family and provided an abundance of love.

She is predeceased by her husband George, baby daughter June (3 months old) and daughter Orla; son-in-law Max Parsons; sisters Ethel Lockyer and Minnie Furey; brothers George (Meta Ball), Baxter (Livie), Gordon Crocker (Evelyn) and Ken.

Left with a lifetime of wonderful memories and love to sustain us forever, daughter Shirley Mathewson (John), Edmonton, AB, son Baxter (Doris), Halifax, NS, daughter Daphne Barr (Bert), Swift Current, NL, son Frank (Marie), Mount Pearl, NL, daughter Norma Crocker, Victoria, BC and son Kenneth (Collette), St. Albert, AB; sisters Effie Chancey, Clarenville and Alfreda Turchek (Ted), California; grandchildren Stephanie Barry (John), Sean Barr (Debbie), Michelle Pearcy (Mark), Brian Crocker, Micheal Mathewson (Dana), Kenneth Mathewson, Justin Beck (Ashley), David Beck, Pam Beck, Deanna Crocker, Tiffany Parsons, Heath Parsons, Aaron Crocker, Natasha Peaver (Graham), Noah Crocker, Amanda Barr, Scott Goulding (Sarah), Carrie Lynn Barr and Leonard Barr; great grandchildren Charlie, Angus & Georgia Mathewson, Katie & Charlie Pearce, Aidan Barry and Jack Davis; special friends Elizabeth Goodrich, Tillie Eddy and Juanita Crocker.

Visitation will be held at the United Church, Swift Current on Wednesday, July 10 from 6 – 9 p.m.  Funeral service 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Bethany United Church, Swift Current with interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Swift Current.

Donations in her memory may be made to Bethany United Church, Swift Current or Operation Smile Canada.

Thank you to G B Cross Memorial Hospital for your care. Special thanks to the Clarenville Retirement Centre for your kindness over the past few years.  You went above and beyond.

    Aunt Winnie was the kindest and sweetest person i ever had the pleasure to know. We grew really close the past few years and shared many funny stories. I will miss and love her forever..

      Sending condolences to the family of Winnie Crocker. You have been so fortunate to have her live such a long and productive life. It is clear that she was loved by not just her family but by all those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves a legacy of so many children grandchildren and great grand children.     Knowing what to say is hard when u loose someone that u loved so dearly.Aunt Winnie was like a second mother to me growing up .Many countless hours spend at her home .She was one of a kind ,caring , , loving & witty.She loved a good laugh & always had the sweetest smile.She lived a long& good life.We will always remember her with the best of memories.Sending our love & deepest condolences to all her family .Gone but, surely never be forgotten.Fly high with the angels Aunt Winnie We love you.

    My condolences to all the family. I will always remember Aunt Winnie. Audrey Marshall would keep me informed on how she is doing.     We were saddened to hear of Aunt Winnie’s passing. I have very fond memories of visiting her in my younger days. . Aunt Winnie was a very sweet lady and nothing ever fazed her no matter how many people filled her home,. We send our deepest condolences to all the family from all of our family here in Perth.
