Chris and family. So very sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. He was a mentor to me and encouraged to get more involved with the Retired Teachers’ Association. I appreciated his interest and work with the Retired Teachers’ Foundation as well. Always a pleasant individual and a charming smile. Blessings.

Chris and the entire Day family. Pat and I are saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. It has been decades since we last crossed paths but his mom and dad’s proximity in distance from our home to theirs was but a stone throw away and we certainly got to see him quite a bit in his much younger years. He had an enviable and rewarding career in teaching and I am sure he created an atmosphere where his students flourished. May you and your family stay strong in this time of need . Rest in Peace Bill for now and forever.

Chris, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. We are related through Mark Day, my grandfather whom once resided in Port Rexton and had moved to St. John’s with his family, Emma Ann, daughter – my mom Bertha Elizabeth and son – my Uncle Mac (MacLelland) Day. I had hoped to get back to Newfoundland a few years ago and unfortunately due to the situation out there in the world, that did not transpire as yet. I am hopeful you will receive the message I left on your father’s phone number I will keep William in my prayers and you all at this truly difficult time. Take care of yourself, and each other.
