So sorry to hear about the death of Valery. I remember her so well. She visited our house and mom frequently when I was growing up. She was always smiling, but took no flack😊. Hopefully her and mom are having a good chuckle now. She got a good long life out of it! Rest in peace.

Greta, Clarence, Earl, Viola, and Angus,

I am sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. What a wonderful life she accomplished!!
I remember growing up next door to her in Best’s Harbour, Tack’s Beach. I remember her standing by our fence and chatting with my mother. Also, I remember her bringing water from Violet Warren’s well. In the summertime, when the wells would go dry she and another woman would row in the dory to Riley’s Cove for water.
Then, in the 1960s we had to resettle to Arnold’s Cove. No more bringing water; however, she still worked to keep the household together, and looked after her brother in law, Bill.
I could go on and on about her wonderful accomplishments.

To all her children, keep her in your hearts,
    Love, Vera

Knew her well when I taught in Tack’s Beach and lived next door, we had many laughs together. Sincere condolences to the family. Rest in eternal peace my loving friend. Blessings to all.
