Margaret Williams August 29, 1950 - March 17, 2024

Williams, Margaret Ethel (nee Collins) – Having carried her cross, although heavy at times, it has now been laid down as she entered into eternal rest!!  Margaret (Collins) Williams of Southern Harbour, age 73 years, passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Sunday, March 17, 2024.  There is no doubt Margaret entered eternal rest with the divine assistance of her beloved great-granddaughter, Jade Williams and surrounded by Margaret’s parents Denis and Maria Collins, her infant brother Paul Collins, parents in law Michael and Lorraine (Williams) Emberley and other members of the Collins and Williams Family.

Although this reuniting is one of much joy in heaven her absence on earth will be forever missed by her loving and devoted husband of almost 50 years, Eugene Williams.  The bond they shared will sustain him until they are united in heaven to live together for the rest of eternity.  Meanwhile Margaret can rest assured her children and grandchildren will continue to assist her husband and care for him until that day of reuniting in heaven.  Left with a lifetime of fond and loving memories her children, Kenneth Williams and wife Tammy and youngest son Sheldon Williams; only grandson Kenny Jr. and wife Julie Seaward; great-grandson Greyson Williams; brothers William (Judy) Collins and Cletus (Eve) Collins; nieces, nephews, In-laws, cousins and other family and friends.

Margaret was a very strong and independent woman and the backbone of our family.  She was our matriarch and the one we will be forever thankful and grateful for: the cook, the maid, the nurse, the teacher, the advisor, the banker, you get the point, she did everything for us!!  Having spent a life of sacrifice and dedication to her family we can only pray her reward is great in heaven as she lived her life in devotion to the true Christian values of family, service to others, and deep faith in the Lord!

Margaret will be resting at Christ the King Church, Southern Harbour with immediate family visitation Monday March 18, 2024 from 6pm – 9pm and open to the public for visitation on Tuesday March 19, 2024 from 10am – 9pm.  Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at 11am.

Since we are in the season of Lent there are No Flowers as per the family’s request but in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to be disbursed to a charity of their choice at a later date!

Sheldon and Family , I was saddened to hear of your Mom’s passing . She was one of the first people I met in Southern Harbour at the beginning of my teaching career in the 70’s . Although I haven’t seen her in many years , I will always remember her kindness to me . Please accept my sincere condolences.
