November 4, 2024 at 6:48 pmOn behalf of everyone at Commissionaires BC, I would like to express our heartfelt condolences to Keith Smith’s family and friends on your loss. Keith was a Commissionaire in BC for over 22 years before moving back East. He also served with Commissionaire New Brunswick. I spoke with Keith on his birthday last January and Keith stated in a message he planned to return to Magdalen Islands for a holiday after calling in to the Charlottetown Office in September. It sounds like that plan could not be fulfilled. We are truly saddened by this news. Sincerely, Jim Billinger Commissionaire Ambassador

November 5, 2024 at 2:18 pmI just heard about Keith’s passing; I was a manager at the Vancouver location when he was managing the operation in Kelowna. We shared so many times together, often during the summer, my wife and I would spend a number of weekends at his home in Kelowna; He was a guest also at our home during one Christmas holiday. I remember driving around looking for garage sale deals with him across the border when we were all there in our motor home. We often parked our RV at his place and spent many hours, enjoying each others company. He was a very dear friend and we kept in contact after both of us retired from the Commissionaires. We even talked about visiting him in NFLD this past September and I am so sorry that we did not.
I am really going to miss him. All Chrissy and my condolences to the family. Gary Smith
