Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Thursday, March 14, 2024, Judy Stanley of Clarenville, age 75 years. Predeceased by her parents, Lyman and Wilhelmina Strong; parent-in-law, Warren and Doris Stanley; daughter, Lori; sisters, Bessie, Mable, Pearl; brothers, Allan, Cyril, Lawrence, Bernard; brothers-in-law, Joseph and Ted. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Leslie Stanley. Children, Paul (Holly), Cindy (George), grandchildren, Stephanie, Ann (Charlie), Madaline, Jada, Isaiah, Hunter; Step-grandchildren, Amber, Robert; great grandchildren, Ziyad, Kaiden, Kobe ; sisters, Beatrice, Flora; brother, Bruce (Pauline); and a large circle of family and friends. Such a courageous woman who was an inspiration to us all. She bravely battled her illness while continuing to carry out her day to day activities, without complaint. Judy touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and her love for life. She was very active and enjoyed the great outdoors. Her cabin was her “happy place” where, along with Les, they would spend many weekends with the fire glowing and music playing. Judy loved to entertain company; the welcome mat was always by the door, and visitors were frequent at their cabin. She often shared many stories of their adventures on their Side by Side and Snowmobile. There was always a circle of friends, a boil up and lots of laughter. Often, there was a moose hunting or fishing experience to share. There is no doubt she enjoyed life to the fullest. Family was so very important to Judy and she would always look forward to their visits. She planned every minute so the children and grandchildren would build memories and experiences that would stay within their hearts forever. She cherished each and everyone of them and they loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and all that knew her. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville Monday, March, 18, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. No burial at this time, cremation to follow. The family would like to thank the staff of the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Chemo Department, Dr. Suedeek, and Dr. Agireb for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society Newfoundland, or the Daffodil Place.

March 18, 2024 at 12:29 pmAunt Judy was an incredible human being. She had a way of making everyone feel special. She had a way of loving everyone with all her heart. All of her grandchildren
meant the world to her. I came into this amazing family later than many others, but I always felt like I had always been part of this love circle. I will always cherish the quality time I was fortunate enough to spend with this down to earth woman. There is no question that the Heavens have welcomed an angel. I will always love you, Aunt Judy! xo
