It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Wife, Mother, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Jennitta Pearl (Loder) Slade on November 5, 2024 at the age of 70 after her courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville.
Predeceased by her parents Smauel and Elizabeth Loder; sister Mondella Joyce Mueller; parents-in-law Arthur and Ina Slade and brother-in-law Todd. Left with an abundance of love and memories are her loving husband Larry; children Lenore, Angela (Dylan) and Kevin (Leanne); grandchildren Hillary (Danny), Erin (Cameron), Tamara (Justin), Kaden, William, Mikayla and her newest pride and joy, her 1st great grandchild Bristol.
Anyone who was fortunate to encounter “Jenny Pearl” was blessed with a dear friend, fierce advocate and the best volunteer any organization could have. Our mother loved crowds, the bigger the better, lots of music and someone strumming a guitar. Mom loved life and to spread kindness. She came from humble beginnings and those who knew her, knew she always put others before herself. In the midst of her struggles with cancer, she continued to meet you with a smile and positive attitude. Many often visited Mom these past few months and left feeling lifted because she was such a tower of strength. Mom found great comfort in the calls from friends and her Sunday visits to church. Life to Mom was all about living life to the fullest, spreading laughter and joy. There is a big hole left in our hearts and family but oh what a mountain of memories remain.
Cremation has taken place as per her wishes. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Bethel United Church, North Harbour. Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Bethel United Church, North Harbour. For anyone wishing to send a message to be read in church, please forward to Tracy Dean at [email protected]

November 11, 2024 at 11:12 amJennitta was one of the most authentic Women I ever met. I am wearing the home made socks she gifted me when I visited she and Larry in ’16.
She was kind and good and funny (hilarious actually) and her work ethic was positive and contagious. She just didn’t stop; putting others first, hugging, holding and spreading the Love. She couldn’t help herself!
My thoughts turn to her family now.
May you all find comfort in knowing that Jennitta loved you all so much and was so proud of all of you. She touched so many lives…
Fly free my friend. The earth’s burdens burden you no more…❤️ Much love Larry.
