James G. Ivany July 22, 1936 - July 2, 2024

Passed away peacefully at Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista  on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, James Gilbert Ivany of Burgoynes Cove, age 85 years.  Predeceased by his parents George and Florence Ivany; sister Ariel Gill; brothers Harvey and Bill.  Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories brothers Ches (Doreen) and Maxwell (Evelyn); sisters Eleanor Parrott, Vinie Carberry, Maxine Hiscock (Wayne); Shirley Ballum and special sister Ruby whom he adored; sister-in-law Rubena Ivany; brother-in-law Laudrick Gill; and a large circle of nephews, nieces and friends.  Resting at the Anglican Church, Burgoynes Cove on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 7 – 9 p.m.  Funeral service will take place 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the Anglican Church, Burgoynes Cove with cremation to follow.

The family would like to thank Mark and Lynn Townsend for their visits,  the staff at Golden Heights Manor for their care and Clarenville Retirement Centre staff, they dearly loved him.
