We wish to extend heartfelt thanks to the healthcare workers on the medicine unit at the G.B. Cross for making Ivy’s last days so comfortable. Your care for her was exceptional.
Our wish for you, Mom, is to go to a place with unlimited trails to explore, lots of trout to catch, and to be surrounded by your loving family, grand puppy Rosie and all your beloved animals that you adored.
As per Ivy’s wishes, we will celebrate her life privately. If you would like to remember her in a tribute, please donate in her name to the Clarenville SPCA and “stock the shelter for Steve” this Christmas.
“Your Mother is always with you. She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She’s the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself. She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well. She’s your breath in the air on a cold winter’s day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colours of a rainbow, she is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She’s the place you came from, your first home, and she’s the map you follow with every step you take. She’s your first love, your first friend and nothing on earth can separate you…not time, not space. Not even death.”

I’m so sorry to hear the news about your wife and mom. She was a wonderful person, I remember her well from days in your basement huddled around the Nintendo. She would come and check on us often. I hope your memories of her will stay clear forever, and you see her again in your day to day in your own kids and every night in your dreams.
