Ina Trickett May 26, 1956 - August 7, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ina Margaret Trickett (née Greening), aged 69, who passed away peacefully in her sleep at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville after a brief battle with cancer.

She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Katie Greening (née Pinsent); her mother-in-law Mrs. Vida Trickett, whom she diligently cared for over many years; and four brothers: Morley (Edna), David (Shirley), Wayne (Loretta), and Eric (Irene) Greening.

Holding her forever in their hearts are her devoted husband of nearly 30 years, Lorne, daughter Andrea Greening (Ryan Nichols), stepson Greg, brother Clyde Greening; and a large circle of extended family and friends (especially her bingo buddies).

Born in Buchans, she spent most of her life in Port Blandford and Clarenville. For decades, she and her husband stood side-by-side running the Clarenville Esso, just a few feet apart day after day. Together they greeted neighbours, swapped stories with travellers, and built a place where customers quickly became friends.

She will be remembered for her love of berry picking, quilting, knitting, homemade bread and bottled beets, weekends at the trailer, and above all, her role as the heart and home of her family. Her loyal heart, generosity, and sense of humour will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville on Monday, August 11 from 2 – 4 p.m.  Memorial service 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery.

In her memory, donations may be made to the Clarenville SPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society.

To be confirmed.

Truly saddened to learn of Ina’s passing. I spent many a day with her when I worked at the CWT Harveys office and she was helping out Melissa at Budget Car Rental. We shared many a laugh.
How very proud she was of you Andrea. She was always so happy to speak of your adventures and her pride overflowed.
Thinking of all the family during this sad and difficult time. 💔💔
