Herbert J. Stanley December 13, 1943 - October 26, 2022

Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Wednesday, October 26, 2022,  Herbert Stanley of George’s Brook – Milton aged 78 years . Predeceased by his parents Willis and Mildred Stanley; wife Gladys; brother Billy Stanley; sister Margaret Stanley.  Left with fond and loving memories his children, Georgina (Glen) Coish, Lisa Kirk (Jeff), Trina Stanley (Calvin), Terry (Lori) and Cory; grandchildren, Steven (Janice) Coish,  Sherry (Rex) Butt, Shannon (Amanda) Coish, Ian Kirk, Samantha (Trevor) Welsh, Aldeena Stanley (Sam), Miranda Kirk, Tyler Kirk (Amoudla), T.J. Stanley (Gina), Isaiah Stanley, Parker Stanley-Brett, Preston Stanley-Brett; great grandchildren, Emily, Leah, Peyton, Jaxon, Emma, Sammy, Mason, Alyssa, Isla, Breanna, Dominick and Renee; sisters, Mary (Reginald) Ellis, Nellie (Manual) Ellis, Annie (Levern) Chatman; brothers, Nelson (Edna), Jim, Ivan (Michelle); and a large circle of family and friends.  Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville, on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.  Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the Milton-George’s Brook Cemetery.  In his memory donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Newfoundland.

A special thank you to the staff at Dr. G B Cross Hospital, Clarenville Dialysis Unit, his homecare workers Bernice, Tammy, Shera, and his very special homecare worker Michelle who went above and beyond taking care of him and his family.  Words cannot express how thankful we all are.
