But nursing was always her passion and in 1985 she returned to school for a refresher course . Throughout the years she worked at Come by chance, grace hospital, Glenbrook lodge and finished her career at the GB cross in Clarenville, she talked often about her co workers and made many lasting friendships.
Her family gatherings with her siblings over the years was incredibly special to her, what started in Little Harbour moved to St. John’s and then back to Little Harbour in the later years, from the many moose hunting trips and many other special occasions to the cruise they all took together trips to Florida and everything else in between it was a special bond.
Mom loved her card games 120’s and 45’s there was no other, in fact she played her last game the night before she passed. You didn’t dare interrupt her when her beloved blue jays were playing, and she was so looking forward to the start of the new season.
She found her new Happy place in King Haven Estates where she reunited with many work friends, old friends and made many new friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the Anglican Church, Hodge’s Cove with cremation to follow.
