To the Reid families, my deepest condolences on the passing of a wonderful husband and father. I had the privilege of having many wonderful times and Chats with him around the fire pit or supper table at Gail’s camper. He truly was the mean of love and respect. The wisdom he spoke came from years of providing for his family, and a great faith in his lord. I will always remember his soft spoken voice and his laugh that could turn around the hardest of days. I’m away on my two week rotation and wish I could be there with my beautiful friend Gail but know my heart is with you all.

IThessalonians 4:13. Paul the Apostle wry vividly states in his letter to the Thessalonican Church that he did not want us to be ignorant concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest we sorrow as others who have no hope. You would not have to be in Gordon’s presence very long to know and fully understand that he possessed the blessed hope of the Church of Jesus Christ – that when his life down here had ended he would live eternally with the Saviour of his soul. One can only aging what joy, excitement, and peace that permeated his celestial being. He had arrived to the place that Jesus had prepares (John 14), and the very place that he often spoke about (heaven) and his earnest desire to be with Jesus. What a hope!,
The reality of death has now become eternal life.
Yes, he is no longer with us, but you can rest assured that a “family reunion “ is already in the planning stages. A great man of God has made his entrance into the celestial city. He loved his family, his church, his friends, and now awaits for the great reunion in the sky.
Be assured of our continued prayers.
