Garland Murphy October 12, 1953 - April 29, 2024

Passed away peacefully at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, April 29, 2024, Garland Murphy of Charlottetown, age 70 years.  Predeceased by his wife Gloria; parents Cora and Arthur Murphy; brothers Cyril, Winston and Andrew.  Left with fond and loving memories are his son Ryan (Melanie); grandchildren Damon and Kallie; sisters Sheila (Elias), Rosalie (Jack), Marion (Wayne) and Verley; special sister-in-law Wavie; a large number of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.  Resting at the Salvation Army Church, Charlottetown.  Funeral service 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Salvation Army Church, Charlottetown with interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery, Charlottetown.

    My deepest condolences to Garland son and family .Garland always greeted everyone with a big smile .I had many laugh with him and Gloria over the years. They are reunited now .. He always spoke of his proud and joyful his grandchildren.When you ran into him in Clarenville. Rest in peace Garland.

    Deepest sympathy from Edgar and Julie Higdon , Garland boarded with them in New Harbour when he was doing his heavy equipment training .
    He will be remembered fondly and spoke of often .
