Ernest Penney January 3, 1943 - June 3, 2023

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dad and pop. Ernest James Penney, age 80 of Arnold’s Cove, formerly of Tacks Beach, Placentia Bay on June 3, 2023. Predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Penney;  wife June Penney (Bolt) of 48 years; parents-in-law Frank and Bessie Bolt; sons, Glenn (Maxine) and Dale; brothers, Wallace and Baxter; brother-in-law Malcome Legge. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his children, Scott (Rhonda), Linda (Dale), Lorna (Jim); grandchildren, Cody, Megan, Courtney, Madison, Hannah, Mahalia, Hayden, Amber; brother, Frank (Debbie); sister, Violet; sisters-in-law Vera and Sadie; special friends Cyril Courtney and Max Eddy; also a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from Fewer’s Funeral Home in Arnold’s Cove, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Memorial service will be held at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Arnold’s Cove on Wednesday, June 14 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at a later date. The family would like to send their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. J. Costello, Dr. P. Johnston (Lori), Dr. C. Dawson and their teams at both the Health Sciences Centre and the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital. Many of the staff became like family to us during dad’s illness.  Your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
