Edith Onzlo Norris February 14, 1929 - December 21, 2023

Passed away in the presence of her loving family at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge nursing home, St. John’s, Edith Onzlo Norris of Little Heart’s Ease, aged 94 years.

Predeceased by her husband Ernest; parents Bartholomew (Bert) and Adora;  son Seymour;  daughter in-law Marjorie; sisters,  Martha, Lydia, Clarabelle and brothers, Azariah, William and Baxter.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, children, Silas (Gail), Dolores (John), Paul (Elaine), June (Harvey), and Clarabelle (Austin). As well as a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a circle of family and friends.

Funeral will take place on Sunday, Dec 24 at 1pm at Salvation Army in Little Heart’s Ease with internment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery Little Heart’s Ease, officiated by Majors Cecil & Tina Mitchell. Visitation will take place on Saturday, Dec 23 from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm at Fewer’s Funeral Home Little Heart’s Ease.

The Norris Family would like to thank all those who have shown love and support during this time of sorrow.  A special thank you Total Care Nursing,  Glenbrook Lodge Salvation Army Nursing Home St. John’s, and Fewer’s Funeral Home Clarenville.

    Sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I went into the funeral home site looking for someone and I saw Mrs. Norris. I was Patsy Thompson and boarded with you guys back in !966 after we left Jonah’s She lived a long life. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless.

    Silas, Gail, Dolores and Johnny – Dan and I were sorry to hear of Aunt Edith’s passing, and we are thinking of you with warmth and love. We’re very fond of your mother, her kindness and her wisdom. She is the last of a generation, and gave much to the world; we are lucky to have known her. We are out of the country and can’t express our condolences personally, but please know we are with you in thoughts and memories.
