Drucilla Barrett March 14, 1934 - July 16, 2023

Drucilla Barrett, aged 89 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home in North-West-Brook on Sunday, July 16, 2023.
Predeceased by her parents Reuben and Eliza Bursey; granddaughter Kaitlyn; sisters; Irene Baker (Eric), Alvina Stone (Fred), Florie Bursey; brothers; William Bursey (Gwen), Fred Bursey, Sammy Bursey, Percy Bursey; brothers-in-law Fred Chaulk, Frank Chaulk, Jim Dollimount; mother-in-law Elizabeth Barrett-Bailey (Baxter).
Left to mourn with loving memories are her husband of 64 years, Eric; children; Raymond (Donna), Linda (Frank), Eva, Gwen (Gord), Allan (Hilda), Michelle (Stephen), William (Jackie); fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sisters; Myrtle (Pearce), Joyce, Ivy; brother; Roy (Marie); sister-in-law Blanche and a large circle of extended family and friends.
A special thanks goes out to her compassionate and caring home care workers; Dr. Paula Pye, Pastor Jamei Ings, Carla Ings and staff at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital. Your support during this difficult time has been very much appreciated.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family.
Resting at Zion Pentecostal Church, North -West-Brook, Tuesday, July 18, 2023 2 – 4 P.M. and 7 – 9 P.M., Wednesday, July 19, 2023 2 – 4 P.M. and 7 – 9 P.M. Funeral Service to take place on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. With interment to follow at the United Pentecostal Joint Cemetery, North-West-Brook.

    Eric & Family, we are so sorry to hear about cousin Druce’s passing. We are sending our sincere condolences to each of you. Druce was a wonderful lady. She always came to visit nan in Chance Cove. Hold onto your precious memories. She’s still with you all watching over each of you.       Eric and family, we are so sorry for your loss, we truly are. Druce fought a good fight, she finished the course, kept the faith and now her reward awaits. Our loved ones will never be forgotten, we thank God for the time we had with them. We pray HIS love, and grace be a comfort to you Eric, and the family. Another treasure awaits us in heaven.     Sorry to hear of this sweet ladies passing , Ii was introduced to this lovely lady many years back first time I met her she was related to my grandmother Emily Jane Reid and my mom Jessie .both are diseased now I am Jessie’s daughter Marion I saw your moms picture and obituary and regonized her I remembered she was related to me .Through my grandmother .So sad when a mom has passed although she had many years with you her children it’s not easy .so sorry for your loss Thinking of the family God Bless .
