Douglas Linthorne October 8, 1943 - November 9, 2021

Passed peacefully away at the G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville, on November 9, 2021, Douglas Linthorne of Clarenville aged 78 years.  Predeceased by his parents Cyril and Kathleen Linthorne; and brother Raymond.  Left with fond and loving memories his wife Marie of 50 years; children Krista (Tom) Brown; grandson Matthew; sister Joyce; sister in law Sharon; nieces and nephew Anne, Michael and Catherine; and a large circle of family and friends.  Cremation to take place.  Visitation at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville Friday, November 12, 2021 from 2-4 & 7-9  P.M.  Memorial service will take place from Memorial United Church, Clarenville at 2 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 with interment at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery.  In his memory donations may be made to The Newfoundland and Labrador Lung Association.  If you would like to attend the funeral please contact Krista by email at [email protected] or by calling or texting 728-6616.  Vax Pass required for the visitations and memorial service.

Memorial service will take place from Memorial United Church, Clarenville at 2 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 with interment at  Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery.

      So sorry to hear of his passing. He was a memorable teacher. We had him for our homeroom and some classes through the years. Even as I think of those times now I still remember the jokes and laughs we had with him in our homeroom. My condolences to all of his family.
