Daniel Wilfred Allen March 7, 1945 - February 25, 2026

Passed away peacefully at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, Daniel Wilfred Allen of Clarenville, age 80 years.

Predeceased by his parents George and Pearl Allen; brothers Robert and Terrance.

Left with fond and loving memories by his wife Bonnie of 37 years; children Anthony and Danyelle (Fabian); step daughters Kimberley (Geoff) and Sandy (Glen); grandchildren Michael, Robin, Samantha (Evin), Tiffany (Russell); and their children Austin, Blake, Blair, Addison, Lila and Charlotte. Also left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sisters Gloria and Linda (Morgan); and his nieces and nephews.

He worked with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador for 30 years, starting out with the Rural Development, but changed names a few times after that. He had a lot of clients who became his friends. He was really well liked and respected.  He was a loving father, husband, brother and friend. He was a man of faith and spent most of his retirement volunteering with the Clarenville Salvation Army. He touched so many lives over the years. He was loved by his family and made many friends. As his good friend Scott always says, “He is Dan the man.”

Now that his journey is over, here on earth, he is now going home to be with the Lord. He will be dearly missed by the so many lives he touched who truly knew and loved him. We thank the doctors and nursing staff for their care, compassion and comfort during his brief stay at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital. We also wish to personally thank Officer Major Cecil Mitchell, of the Salvation Army, for comforting us through our difficult time.
