Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O’Mahony Manor, Clarenville on Sunday, September 1, 2024, Clarice Anne Banfield of St. Bernard’s, age 82 years. Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Genevieve Hackett; brothers Johnny and Kevin; sisters Solange Hickey (Calvin) and Jean Synard; sister-in-law Juanita Hackett and nephew Clarence Hackett Jr.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Bruce Banfield, Gail Harris (Allan) and Kimberly Whittle (Jamie Passey); grandchildren Gillian (Tony), Cheyanne (CJ), Devon (Shelby) and Emma (Zavier); great grandchildren Lily, Alex, Owen and Camryn; sisters Betty Power (Carl), Evelina Myles (Gus), Jenny Hickey (Terry), Maureen Peters (John); brothers Felix Hackett (Rita) and Clarence Hackett; sisters-in-law Vera Hackett and Sheila Hackett; brother-in-law Jerome Synard; many nieces and nephews; and a large circle of family and friends. As per her wishes cremation will take place. Funeral service will be held at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville on Friday, September 6, 2024 @ 4:00 P.M. Interment to take place at a later date.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Dr. O’Mahony Manor, Clarenville for their care and compassion.
