Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Friday, April 14, 2023 Catherine Whiffen of Southern Harbour aged 88 years. Predeceased by her parents, John and Rose Whiffen and her sister Rose Whiffen. Left with fond and loving memories her sister Bridget (Bride), special friends Donna and Harold and a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation to take place from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Southern Harbour, on Wednesday, April 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Southern Harbour with interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Southern Harbour.

Bride, so sorry to hear of Kitty’s passing.
Always so friendly and welcoming in Bar Haven and Southern Harbour. I’m happy I got to visit you and Kitty last year and bring you coffee & doughnuts. I would enjoy going to the library in Bar Haven because Kitty was so helpful & pleasant. I always admired their Christmas tree & a cup of tea & a chat . One of Bar Haven Islanders finest ladies gone to rest. Bride take care .
