Bertha Mae Norris February 12, 1948 - January 4, 2024

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital  Clarenville, on Thursday, January 4, 2024, Bertha Norris of Clarenville aged 75 years.  Predeceased by her parents, John and Laura Dodge; sister, Alice (Ben) Pardy; great nephew, Harold.  Left with fond and loving memories her children, Pam (Keith), Sherry (Greg), John (Alicia); grandchildren, Jesse, Kelsey, Noah, Lucas, Merk, Laura; sister, Laura (Ken); father of their children, Fred Norris; nieces and nephew, Alice, Faye, Denise, Stephen, Stacy, and Stephanie, as well as a large circle of family and friends. As per her wishes cremation has taken place.  Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 5-8 P.M.  A celebration of life and interment to take place at a later date.  In her memory donations may be made to CNIB or Discovery Health Care Foundation. The family would like to thank the staff at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care.  They would also, like to thank Bertha’s homecare workers for their care, especially Penny who worked with Bertha for 19 years.  Also, a special thank you to her family physician Dr. Paula Pye.

      I met Bertha when I moved in with her Fred and the Children when I was 17 years old , Fred is my cousin and my parents moved back to Goose Cove I stayed with them till I was 21 , Bertha opened not only her home to me But her heart , we became not only Family but best friends very easily..I remember her with Love and amazing memories..She was one of a kind I loved her very much RIP my sweet Friend, you will always be in my Heart xo.

      We were friends over 50 years ago when we were going to memorial university.

    My best friend from grade 5 when she moved to my school. We had many fun times together right up to our first 2 years teaching together in the same schools. When she became sick we traveled different paths. We saw each other from time to time and she was always in my heart- A beautiful person. My heartfelt condolences to her family. She is at peace.

    My best friend from grade 5 when she moved to my school, We had many fun times together right up to our first two years teaching together in the same schools. When she became sick. we travelled separate paths but saw each other from time to time. She was always in my heart- a beautiful person. My heartfelt condolences to her family. She is at peace.
