So sorry to hear of your loss! I knew Baxter from years ago when he fished! We use to pick up their catch along with a lot of other fishermen in
Canning’s Cove! Baxter spent a lot of time on the wharf, had a good many yarns with him when we be sitting there waiting for boats to come in! Please accept our deepest and sincere condolences.
      RIP Baxter.

    To all of Baxter’s Family
So shocked & saddened to learn of Baxter’s passing, we offer our deepest heartfelt sympathy to each & every one of you.
Since spending time at our summer home in Cannings Cove, we both got to know Baxter as he walked past our little house on his way to the wharf so many times. He always stopped to chat and most often would share his fond memories of happy times he spent in that house with his Grandparents and also spoke lovingly of his Aunt Ethel Moss. By listening, we could easily understand how much they and he loved each other as he spoke joyfully & proudly of chores he did to help them. We quickly realized that Baxter was a humble, gentle gentleman with a very kind heart. Left in the sideboard cupboard at the house was a little tray holding a set of 6 tiny colourful shot glasses & decanter which Baxter was happy to accept & cherish as an extra added memento.
We’ll certainly miss seeing & chatting to Baxter as his passing will leave a void in the hearts of everyone who knew and admired him. Rest easy, Baxter, my friend.
