Anetta Chaffey December 24, 1930 - April 21, 2020

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O’Mahony Manor in Clarenville on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 Anetta Chaffey of Musgravetown, aged 89 years. Predeceased by her husband Dalman Chaffey; son in law Ernest Dominey, brothers Milton, Hedley and Marvin; sisters Myrtice Martin and Louise Coles. Left with fond and loving memories her daughters Joyce Dominey of Winnipeg, MB and Kay Pye (Dave) of Musgravetown; grandchildren Steven (Sara) of Ottawa ON., Scott (Heather) of  Winnipeg, MB.; 3 great granddaughters Rose, Nora and Ivy; sister Joyce Day (Walter) of Musgravetown; brother Robert Penney (Winnie) of Botwood; sisters-in-law Stella Penney of Corner Brook, Mary Penney of Bloomfield, Verlie Penney of New Glasgow, NS and Vilda Chapman of Ottawa, ON., and a large circle of family and friends.  Due to COVID-19 a private family visitation will take place followed by a private family committal service at the Heritage United Cemetery, Musgravetown. In her memory, donations gratefully accepted to the Heritage United Church, Musgravetown.

    Sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I remember my visits to your parents home, when at the Grace Hospital Nurses training, both of them where beautiful people.

    Joyce, Kay & families, So sorry to hear of your Mom`s passing. I had the pleasure of seeing her last summer when I was volunteering on the Crest Bus. We picked up your Mom along with others from the O`Mahoney Manor and took them on a outing at the park for the afternoon and brought them back to the Manor. We had a good chat that afternoon. May all your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead..

I’m sure she and Nanny Chaffey (Minnie) are having a great chat in heaven, catching up on all the good ol’ days as two of the “Golden Girls”! She’ll be greatly missed.

    I got the pleasure of knowing your mom at my place of work. I alway know when I walked in the room I was going to get a big smile and a joke. I knew I could always joke with her no matter what the joke was. And believe you and me some of them we doozies. We had many of talks and I think she is finally where she wanted to be. She was a very sweet and courageous lady. I will miss her so. Thought and prayers are with all of you. I am so sorry for your loss. Stay safe.

    We were sadden to here about the passing of Aunt Needy. Our prayers go out to all family members. I have many fond memories of her during our visits when we were children.     Sorry to hear of Your Mom’s passing. My heart stopped for a minute when I seen the post on Facebook. She was a very sweet and genuine person. We had a great time every time I worked with her. To say she was the sweetest person I knew would not be an an exaggeration. RIP sweet lady. My heart and mind is with you both today. God bless
